Sub-Accounts and Connected Accounts

This article explains on how to apply for Sub-Account.

Connected accounts let one login manage several UQPAY accounts — a main account plus sub-accounts for business units, or a second legal entity in the same group. Sub-accounts are created by the owner of the main account directly in the platform.

Create a sub-account

  1. Click the company name at the top-left corner to open the account switcher, then click Create sub-account at the bottom of the list.

  2. Choose the type of account: Company (owned by shareholders) or Individual, then click Next.

  3. Which entity will own the new account?: choose Select from existing legal entities to create a sub-account under an entity that is already verified (no documents needed again), or Specify a new legal entity to onboard a different company — the new entity goes through the same verification as Account Registration and Verification.

  4. Account nickname: give the sub-account a name you will recognise (for example a business unit or brand) and click Create account.

After creation

  • A sub-account under an existing verified entity is usually active immediately; a new legal entity shows Draft until its onboarding form is submitted, then Pending while under review (normally 1–2 business days) and Active once approved.

  • Each account has its own balances, cards and team members. Switch between accounts from the account switcher; the main account is marked Main.

  • Every account you manage is listed under Connect → Accounts with its legal name, type, status and KYC/KYB result. Use the Show account toggle to hide an account from the switcher.
